Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Full time position


  • Design and develop significant product changes and enhancements which are consistent with a zero defect level as well as low product cost. Solve complex problems at the product level.

  • Conduct testing utilizing DOE methodology and other design tools. Accurately generate complex written reports.

  • Design, develop, and implement moderately complex manufacturing fixtures and tooling.

  • Supervise assigned technicians and engineers.

  • Participate in design review meetings.

  • Complete projects (including product enhancements) in an aggressive manner consistent with corporate objectives. Determine day-to-day tasks in accordance with overall project plan.

  • Contribute to the intellectual property position of the company via invention and patent applications. Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.

  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive technologies in addition to medical, technical, and biomedical developments related to Company products.

  • Provide engineering and technical support of products introduced into both the domestic and international markets.

  • Procure and oversee outside vendors and consultants as required.

  • Maintain GMP systems, including pre-production quality assurance procedures, pre-clinical testing programs, and post production GMP compliance in coordination with the Document Control, Clinical, and Quality Assurance functions. Provide support in the resolution of product complaints and/or safety issues.

  • Work with the Manufacturing, Clinical Affairs, Sales and Marketing, and Quality Assurance functions to coordinate pilot production of new products.

  • Maintain a professional, credible image with key physicians, consultants, suppliers, and co-workers.

  • Work all required overtime.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Job Experience:

  • BSME or equivalent preferred. With a BSME, this position requires five years of experience. With an MS, three years of experience is required. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to understand, report and communicate requirements of and results of engineering support and testing as it relates to manufacturing and product development. Special Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, ability to perform word processing and create spreadsheets, ability to perform computerized project scheduling.

SEC Reporting Manager / Controller
Full time position

Develop and implement policies, procedures and practices for financial reporting, SEC filings and related compliance activities.  Support accounting, finance and financial planning and analysis activities under the direction of the CFO.


  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and reports (Form 10-Q and Form 10-K), other SEC filings (e.g. Form S-3, Forms 4, 5, and 6, and Section 16 filings), and other financial reports as required.

  • Prepare and review XBRL tagging and supporting schedules and documentation for SEC filings.

  • Facilitate acceleration of period end accounting closes and process improvements.

  • Participate in monthly close, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, account analysis and preparation and posting journal entries for transactional areas, such as inventories, cost of goods, and clinical trial liabilities and expenses.

  • Coordinate the annual audit and quarterly reviews and act as the main contact for external audits, including managing the preparation and submission of required schedules and supporting documentation.

  • Prepare or review equity and stock-based compensation accounting, disclosures and maintenance of cap tables, etc.

  • Research and resolve financial reporting issues, draft accounting position papers and facilitate implementation of new accounting pronouncements

  • Assist and drive implementation, improvement and documentation of effective internal control, including financial reporting and disclosure controls and related compliance activities, including section 404 and 302 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (“SOX”).

  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts and prepare budget vs. actual analysis and reports as required.


Education and/or Job Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent and a CPA

  • Previous controller or assistant controller experience

  • Strong SEC reporting background, with 6+ years of combined public accounting and industry experience in SEC reporting

    In depth technical knowledge and demonstrated application of generally accepted accounting principles, including FASB, SEC (S-K, S-X, ’33 and ’34 Act filings)

  • Experience with XBRL tagging, proxy requirements and the SEC comment letter process

  • Experience implementing and documenting internal control improvements and ensuring compliance with SOX.

  • Significant experience in drafting and reviewing public company filings

  • Extensive experience in accounting research and documentation and implementation of new accounting standards

  • Experience using equity tracking software and tools preferred

Communication Skills:

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Special Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.); solid experience with finance and accounting systems such as NetSuite, Dynamics, QAD, etc.

Administrative Assistant 
Full time position

Department: Admin

To support the Executive Team, the Sales & Marketing department, and attend to general office administrative duties.


  • Provide administrative and general office support on an as needed basis, including maintenance of company databases
  • Provide word processing, filing, scheduling, and research support
  • Provide telephone and meeting schedule support
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for assigned staff, ensuring most cost-effective rates when possible.
  • Provide expense report processing support.
  • Answer all telephone calls promptly and handle incoming requests.
  • Greet and register all company visitors. 
  • Coordinate the timely, efficient, and cost effective repair and maintenance of all office equipment including fax, telephone and voicemail systems, copiers, printers, and computer network. 
  • Coordinate company meetings and staff functions, including conference room usage, presentation packets, and food catering.
  • Communicate regularly with the employee population regarding relevant facilities issues.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and QSR compliant facility.
  • Manage office supplies and submit weekly Staples order as needed.


  • Provide sales and marketing support for assigned staff.
  • Fulfill Customer Service function, which includes fulfilling customer orders and advising customers of inventory status when applicable, fulfilling customer requests for information (including pricing and product information), problem resolution and processing of product returns.
  • Customer database management including population of new and existing customer information, tracking of customer payments, and reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure required paperwork is in place before authorizing shipments of product to customers.
  • Interface with the Company’s sales representatives, which includes order tracking and fielding requests for demo products, sales and marketing support materials, and customer paperwork.
  • Finished product inventory database maintenance and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate mass mailings and distributions of marketing department materials as needed.
  • Invoice completed Sales Orders and process credit card orders.
  • Update and optimize e-mail lists (doctors, purchasing agents, materials management).
  • Assist with planning and execution of corporate events.


Education and/or Job Experience:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1-2 years relevant experience required
  • Prior experience in medical device industry a plus

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Research Associate I
Full time position

Department: Cell Manufacturing

The RAI position will be responsible for the Cell Culture Facility (CCF) activities.


  • Become familiar with sterile technique for isolation, culture expansion and cryopreservation of cellular products
  • Assist in ensuring that all lab SOPs are current and all procedures performed in the CCF are compliant with appropriate SOPS
  • Maintain equipment in the CCF
  • Will be responsible for ordering reagents and supplies
  • Maintain laboratory records
  • Other tasks as assigned


Education and/or Job Experience:
A BSc or equivalent is required for the position. Experience in cell culture procedures or sterile technique is desirable.
